Krishcricket.com has launched two new cricketing games for online and mobile. It also plans to diversify into non-cricket games
Krishcricket.com, the portal launched by cricketer Krish Srikkanth, has announced the launch of two new online games. Plans are also afoot to develop non cricketing games on the portal as well as via a mobile platform, as also a 3D game.
The portal, with about 40,000 registered users, currently offers a range of cricketing games, match simulations, audio commentary and even online coaching by Srikkanth through video clips. Some of the features, such as coaching, are available for a fee. The website also offers other mobile content such as clips from cricket matches, including the 1983 World Cup, score cards and commentary.
As part of its strategy of ramping up mobile gaming, Krish Cricket has tied up with Motorola for having its Pro Challenge game built into MotoRokr phones. It is also in talks with other manufacturers and content aggregators for similar tie ups.
Most of the cricketing games at Krish Cricket have been developed inhouse by the company headed by Adithyaa Srikkanth. The games are also available for download on mobile, for a price. “We want to be seen as game publishers. At present, all our products are compatible with the mobile,” says Krish Srikkanth.
The multiplayer game lets players from any location play online cricket against each other. This takes place through a chat room where gamers can come together and decide who they want to play with. While hundreds of players can come online at a time, only two people can play each game.
Captain of Captains is a strategic game where the user plays the role of a cricket captain, choosing his 11 players. Once the team is chosen from among the players of various countries, the match starts. The results are worked out through the performance of the chosen team.
