Recently, Ozone Media announced its plans to expand its overseas operations. In order to build local presence and further reach in the markets, it has set up an office in New Jersey, overseeing the USA, North America and the UK regions.

Says Gopinath, "2011 augurs well for advertisers. It is an opportune moment to expand our reach geographically and build greater depth in technology. Ozone Media's strength with Indian (South Asian) publishers provides a readily scalable platform to reach out to the NRI segment, HNIs et al. We welcome Ajay on board to grow and expand the market for Ozone Media in these territories."

Says Bansiwal, "There is a huge opportunity to cater to the Indian diaspora in the US, Canada and the UK. The Indian community is one of the most affluent and increasingly influential demographic sections in these geographies. Marketers have recognised this fact and their appetite for reaching out to this category is increasing exponentially. I am excited to be part of a smart, young and dynamic company and look forward to my role in Ozone Media."

Bansiwal has 13 years of experience in the online media, entertainment and IT services industries. He started his career in 1997 with Marubeni Corp as manager, strategy, subsequently shifting to J Walter Thompson as senior media planner the next year.

In 2000, he joined Webshastra as assistant vice-president. >From there, he moved on to Smart Information (www.sulekha.com) as senior director and in early 2005, shifted to Syntel as director.

In November 2006, Bansiwal moved to Times Internet (Times of India Group) as vice-president/head of sales, North America. He set up Times Internet's North America operations before joining Reliance MediaWorks.

He is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow and IHM, Pusa.
