Huawei India appoints Windchimes Communications as social media agency

The company plans to unveil a series of products including smart phones and a media pad for the Indian market, and will be seen spreading its presence on the social media circuit.

Huawei India, the Indian counterpart of the telecom solution provider Huawei Telecommunications, has appointed the Mumbai-headquartered Windchimes Communications as its social media agency. The company has tied up with the agency to strategise its social media marketing.

The company plans to unveil a series of products, including smart phones and a media pad for the Indian market shortly. It will be seen spreading its presence on the social media channels to get an incremental reach in the near future.

Windchimes Communications' role is to handle the social media presence for the company and work towards creating adequate buzz for its new products. The agency will also be responsible for building stronger relationships with its audiences via engagement on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.

Windchimes will also be the key prolocutor for the organisation on social media initiatives, and will work with Huawei India to build and execute social media strategies that will help the brand to reach out to a much wider audience in the online space. Windchimes will also advocate Huawei to provide instant support to customers on social media channels via their Facebook page. Further, the brand's Twitter handle -- Huaweiindia -- will be utilised to share product information, reviews, and online care with telecom consumers.

Commenting on the development, Anand Narang, marketing director, Huawei Devices (India), says, "Social media sites act as an important source of information and greatly influence the buying decision of the consumers. Thus, it becomes inevitable for organisations to be active on social media platforms."

Narang adds, "Partnering with Windchimes, an agency which comes with the experience of handling multiple consumer and B2B brands across verticals, gives us comfort in the knowledge that we will be able to listen more carefully to what our consumers have to say and deliver on their expectations."
