"The site will help spread our roots across the country. There is much demand from all over the world for recipes given out in Hindi and other local languages. Going forward, local language will play a huge role in content, hence, we launched the Hindi website," says Kapoor.

In an effort to promote the new site, Kapoor will launch a new show 'Roti, Rasta aur India', on FoodFood. The show will mainly talk about traditional authentic recipes from various parts of the country, with the team travelling to different cities. Popular recipes from the show will be posted on the Hindi website, for the viewers.

When asked if content of the site will be driven by the food channel, Kapoor replies, "While the website will have certain content from the channel, it will be restricted, as we want to avoid an overlap of content, so that every medium stands apart from the rest."

Meanwhile, the site has already managed to get its advertisers on board such as deals websites like snapdeal.com and crazeal.com, apart from restaurants and dealers in kitchen appliances. Additionally, cookery books and kitchen appliances will be sold online. The other revenue stream for the site will be brand-embedded content.

The Hindi website expects a 15-20 per cent increase in the revenue that the English website garners.

The English website accounts for a 1,00,000 visitors every month, and over 8,100,000 million page views at the same time. Approximately, 52 per cent visitors are from India, while 27 per cent are from the United States. The rest are from Australia, Canada and other parts of the globe, claims Kapoor.

After launching FoodFood in Hindi, Kapoor now plans to launch the channel in regional languages, as well. However, no particular time period has been allotted for the launch of the regional channels.
