Azim Lalani elevated as business head of Firstpost
Lalani was earlier the national sales head of the company.
Azim Lalani, the national sales head of the Network18-led news portal Firstpost has been elevated as its business head. In his new role, he will drive overall strategy and revenue growth for Firstpost.
Lalani has over 15 years of experience in the media industry, and has worked across the print and digital media. He joined Firstpost in its start-up phase and has, according to an official statement, "helped scale up the revenue manifold in the past two years."
Prior to joining the Network18 Group, Lalani worked with the news portal Rediff.com as director of advertising sales. He has also had a stint at India Today as senior manager of media sales. Lalani started his career as a senior executive at The Indian Express.
