Facebook's Umang Bedi quits; Sandeep Bhushan is interim MD

Bedi spent little over a year at Facebook.

Umang Bedi, managing director, Facebook India and South Asia, has decided to move on from the organisation.

Facebook released a statement confirming Bedi’s resignation: "We confirm that Umang Bedi will be leaving his role and Facebook at the end of this year. He's built a really strong team and business during his time with us, and we wish him all the best."

He took over from Kirthiga Reddy in July 2016; before joining Facebook he was managing director, South Asia at Adobe Inc.

Meanwhile Sandeep Bhushan, director, consumer and media, South Asia, Facebook, will take over as interim MD.
