From navigating through Mumbai traffic to sharing the best bits from a Badshah concert, musician and influencer Yashraj Mukhate did not have to lift a finger except to tap his Ray-Ban Meta glasses and speak with his personal assistant Meta AI.
After launching in the country back in May, the AI smart glasses have chosen the influencer route to appeal to the aspirational millennial and Gen Z crowd. Telltale signs include using them to upload a photo on Instagram and to record a live concert for social media.
Developed in partnership with EssilorLuxottica under the Ray-Ban brand, Meta’s AI-driven smart glasses retail for Rs 29900 and are available in Wayfarer and Skyler styles.
To interact with the AI, all one needs to do is say “Hey Meta” and ask their question. According to Meta, users will soon be able to send and receive direct messages, photos, audio calls and video calls from Instagram hands free on their glasses.
Adding to this is access to music apps like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Shazam.
