Sanjay Shukla promoted as CEO, Percept Activ

Shukla has moved to the newly created role after being the COO of the division for three years. He will look to expand Percept Activ's base in Asia and SAARC countries.

Sanjay Shukla, erstwhile COO, has been promoted as CEO of Percept Activ. Shukla was appointed COO of the brand activation and below-the-line arm of Percept in 2010, when the division was formed. In his new role, Shukla will look after overall management and also increase the division's turnover and lead its diversification into international markets such as Asia and SAARC countries. Shukla will report to Percept's board of directors.

Meanwhile, Percept Activ is on the lookout for someone to take the place of COO.

Armed with 16 years of experience, Shukla has experience in activations and events, planning, market penetration, account management and business development. He began his career in Wings Brand Activations & Promotions as business development executive, handling trade fairs in 1995, where he rose to the position of client servicing head, all India. From there, he moved to Percept Sports & Entertainment (earlier known as PDM) as national head - brand activation, which comprised events and activations, in 2007. His profile comprised research and analysis, new business development and technologies in below-the-line activities. As the business grew from three people to over 125 people in eight cities, Percept created a dedicated unit for brand activation called Percept Activ in 2010, where he held the role of COO.

Shukla graduated with an engineering degree in electronics from MVJ College of Engineering, Bengaluru.

Some of the clients that he worked with include Tetrapak, Apollo Tyres, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra, Times of India, Reckitt Benckiser, Reliance, VLCC, Bharti AXA, HDFC Life Insurance and Bihar Tourism. In events, he was associated with Boomer Bubble Blowing Championship, Canon Photo Marathon, Canon Image Fest and others.
