The incumbent agency was MAXUS
Star Cruises, one of the world's leading cruise companies, has moved its media duties to Beehive Communications. When Star Cruise called for an agency pitch, the account apparently saw a pitched battle among five agencies. The incumbent agency was MAXUS.
Himanshu Thakkar, vice-president, Beehive Communications, said, "Our commitment to the category and our ability to maneuver creatively, within the high decibel space, probably won us the account." The contract comes into effect from January 1, 2005.
"This is a big win for us as we have been extremely selective while pitching. We only targeted those accounts, where we felt we had a perceptible advantage in domain expertise. We also believe, our 'Media 4 Results' programme delivers much more than the regular planning/buying formats, as it provides a more holistic approach to the clients' marketing and communications programmes", added Sharmila Dennis, media head, Beehive Communications.
