Partha Ghosh calls it a day at The Media Edge

For Ghosh, TME was his third stop-over after Contract and the Lowe group, where he spent more than 12 years

Partha Ghosh, vice-president, The Media Edge (TME), has put in his papers.

Confirming this to agencyfaqs!, Divya Gupta, chief operating officer, TME India, says, “Ghosh was looking for an opportunity abroad for some time, which he thinks would add value to his career. And now, when he has got an opportunity, he is moving out.”

Several attempts to contact Ghosh turned futile. Details about his forthcoming assignment, thus, could not be ascertained.

Ghosh who joined TME in October 2003 has around 17 years of experience in media planning and buying. At TME, he had handled brands such as Colgate-Palmolive, Parle Products and the Tata group.

For Ghosh, TME was his third stop-over after Contract and the Lowe group, where he spent more than 12 years. At Lowe (then, Lintas), he began his career with the group's erstwhile second agency, Karishma, followed by a stint with the agency's media wing before moving on to Initiative (formerly Initiative Media) in late 1994.

An alumnus of the Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management, Kolkata, Ghosh has worked on a wide of range of brands including those of HLL, J&J, Reckitt Benckiser, Bajaj Auto and HSBC.

Apart from a firm grounding in planning and buying, Ghosh is known for his research abilities, having been the vice-chairperson of the technical sub-committee of the IRS, responsible for the supplements and sections study released recently in Mumbai.
