Next Gen launches Smart Photography

The magazine is aimed at both professional as well as amateur photographers

Next Gen Publishing, a company recently set up by the Forbes Group and HDFC, has launched its first niche magazine, Smart Photography, aimed at both professional as well as amateur photographers.

This monthly magazine covers the entire spectrum of the photography industry and related products. Detailed information on products, services and techniques for both digital and analogue photography ranging from cameras, film, output devices, equipment, supplies and services have been carried in this magazine.

The magazine will also cater to the common readers as it tests and evaluate cameras, printers, scanners, paper and even software for colour correction and image enhancement in the digital space.

Smart Photography is edited by Hoshang Billimoria, who is also the chief executive officer of Next Gen Publishing. Billimoria was earlier vice-chairman and managing director, Infomedia India (then Tata Infomedia), which publishes magazine such as Better Photography.

Commenting on the launch of Smart Photography, Billimoria, says, “Photography lovers look forward to reading a well-researched, informative and stylishly produced magazine that regularly updates them on latest techniques and offerings.”

He is hopeful that Smart Photography will be well received by the TG as it meets their needs.

The Forbes Group, the magazine's joint promoter, is owned by engineering conglomerate Shapoorji Pallonji, which is one of the major stakeholders of the Tata group.
