Dhagat, who was national head of special projects at ‘Indian Express’, will look after the events division at ‘Businessworld’ in addition to sales and marketing
Jaideep Dhagat of the Indian Express Group has joined the ABP Group’s business publication, ‘Businessworld’, as the all-India head of sales and marketing. At ‘Indian Express’, he was national head of special projects.
According to Dhagat, ‘Businessworld’ will give him a wider platform to work. He says, “Here, I will be looking after the ad sales and marketing, apart from handling the events business.”
Dhagat, who has around 15 years of experience, started his career with the Gujarat-based leading daily, ‘Sandesh’, from where he moved on to ‘Business Standard’ and then Zee TV. His last assignment was with ‘Indian Express’, where he spent around four years.
Dhagat says he is looking forward to his new assignment, and explains, “Although ‘Businessworld’ is the number one magazine in its segment, the challenge is to maintain this numero uno position. Our second objective will be to completely outgrow the existing competition and initiate new standards and benchmarks.”
