SaharaOne raises hopes with yet another woman oriented show

The channel’s new soap opera ‘Kituu Sabb Jaantii Hai’ is about a young girl, who goes on to become a successful journalist in the electronic media

SaharaOne has also adopted a route for itself. All the shows that the channel had introduced this year revolve around various facets of Indian women. And now it is ready with yet another new programme, ‘Kituu Sabb Jaantii Hai’, which will be aired from November 14, from Mondays to Thursdays at 9.30 p.m.

Interestingly, the serial has been directly pitched against STAR One’s new show ‘India Calling’, which is in the same time slot. ‘India Calling’ is also about a woman protagonist who comes to Mumbai from a small town and becomes a call centre executive.

Purnendu Bose, COO, SaharaOne, says, “Kituu… is about a girl from a middle class family, who is highly ambitious and is striving to make a name for herself in the male dominated arena of electronic media. However, after traversing a rough and difficult path she goes on to become a successful journalist and a famous face in the electronic media.”

Earlier this year, SaharaOne launched programmes such as ‘Woh Rehne Waali Mahlon Ki’ and ‘Hare Kkaanch Ki Choodiyan’, all unveiling different facets of Indian women.

However, Bose is optimistic about the show and shrugs off the belief that it will not do well as it has been placed opposite ‘India Calling’. He says, “Finally it is the content, which speaks for a show and content is the king. ‘Kituu…’ is very relatable and it talks about the aspirations of a modern day Indian women. I’m positive that it will connect well with Indian women and will bring in a whole range of new viewers.”
