Sandiip Sikcand has been appointed chief creative director of SET India; Anjani Kumar, head of the human resource and administrative functions, will also head the enabling and technical services group; Rohit Gupta, executive vice-president, has been given the additional responsibility of the digital, licensing and telephony group
SET India has appointed Sandiip Sikcand chief creative director of Sony Entertainment Television, the network’s flagship channel.
Sikcand, a graduate of Sydenham College, Mumbai, has been the creative brain behind some of the most popular shows on Indian television. Prior to this, he was heading Balaji Telefilms as its creative head. He brings with him renowned skills in television, theatre, acting, music videos and films. Sikcand will report directly to NP Singh.
Commenting on the new appointment, Kunal Dasgupta, chief executive officer, SET India, says, “With Sandiip’s experience in the creative domain, I am confident that he will take SET India to new heights and drive its vision.”
SET India has restructured some of its other important functions as well with immediate effect.
Rohit Gupta, executive vice-president, ad sales and revenue management, has been given the additional responsibility of the digital, licensing and telephony group. Rohit will continue to report to Kunal Dasgupta.
Anjani Kumar, who has been heading the human resource and administrative functions, will now also head a new group within the network called the enabling and technical services group. This group will comprise human resources, information technology, post-production, administration and web and new media activities. Kumar will continue to report to NP Singh.
Dasgupta says, “Creating the enabling and technical services group under Anjani will provide flawless access to resources across our network and will bring in better competence into the working system. The digital, licensing and technology group under Rohit will consolidate a new revenue scheme for the organisation that has enormous future prospects.”
