Dentsu all set to launch media entity; Takashi Koyanagi appointed EV-P

The media entity has been named Dentsu Media Palette. Koyanagi will be based in New Delhi. He has 12 years of experience in media with Dentsu Inc. and has handled global, blue-chip clients such as Toyota and Kao in Japan

Takashi Koyanagi has been appointed executive vice-president for the yet to be launched media entity of Dentsu, called Dentsu Media Palette. He is on secondment from Dentsu Inc., Tokyo, and will be based in New Delhi. He will report to Sharat Jain, chief executive officer, Dentsu Media Palette.

There is no tenure for this secondment. However, Koyanagi being a member of Dentsu’s global media resource, can move to Tokyo or another country at any appropriate time.

In Tokyo, Koyanagi was a project head at Dentsu Media Marketing and has, in all, 12 years of experience working with Dentsu Inc. He has expertise in strategic media planning and specialises in Dentsu’s proprietary tools such as ContactPoint Management. He has worked on global, blue-chip clients such as Toyota and Kao in Japan.

Commenting on the appointment, Sharat Jain says, “Koyanagi’s mandate in India will be to launch Dentsu’s proprietary strategic planning tools and help implement the media practices in the shortest possible time for the benefit of our clients.”

Sandeep Goyal, chairman, Dentsu India, says, “Dentsu’s India operations will benefit significantly from Koyanagi’s vast knowledge on the latest global media trends.”
