Prashant Gadhavi takes over as branch head, OMS, Ahmedabad

Gadhavi is moving in from the Sambhaav Group, where he spent 10 years

Following the exit of Nikhil Naik, Prashant Gadhavi has joined as branch head of Optimum Media Solutions (OMS), Ahmedabad. Naik has joined Paras, one of OMS’ largest clients.

Gadhavi has come from the Sambhaav Group, where he spent 10 years. He was the marketing head there and was instrumental in starting the Out-Of-Home division for the publishing group. This was a major step taken by the group to diversify into the outdoor business.

Gadhavi’s mandate will be to look into the overall profitability and growth of OMS, Ahmedabad, and to strengthen ties with existing clients.

Gadhavi says, "I have been on the media marketing side for a considerable amount of time and am well aware of the client base in Gujarat, which will help me grow new business aggressively across the state."

Chandradeep Mitra, president, OMS, says, “Gadhavi has rich experience and understands the all-round perspective of the agency and the media business, and he brings this with him to OMS. Moreover, he possesses a thorough understanding of the Gujarat market. He is also a part of our national management committee.”

Gadhavi has more than 20 years of experience in the media and marketing communications business. During his career span, he has worked with companies such as Mudra Communications and ‘The Asian Age’.

Gadhavi joined Mudra in 1992 in the servicing department. At ‘The Asian Age’, where he worked for around four years, he was instrumental in launching the English daily’s Ahmedabad edition.
