Filmy has signed a multi-year agreement for library features with Buena Vista International Television, Asia Pacific, which is the international distribution arm of The Walt Disney Company

Filmy, the Hindi movie channel from Sahara One Media and Entertainment, and Buena Vista International Television, Asia Pacific, have signed a multi-year agreement for library features.

Under the agreement, Filmy will be able to feature select Hollywood movies, dubbed in Hindi, under a new block on the channel titled ‘Firangi Filmy’. Among the movies it plans to telecast are ‘Signs’ and ‘Shanghai Knights’. The agreement is in line with both Walt Disney’s focus on expanding its market presence in India and Filmy’s strategy to offer wholesome entertainment to its viewers.
