Hair, the UK’s best-selling hair magazine is coming to the Indian shores under an exclusive licensing agreement
IPC Media, the specialised publishing arm of Time Warner company has tied up with the Indian contract publisher, Spenta Multimedia to bring one of its big-ticket brands to India.
Come July, the UK based 30-year-old hair care magazine, Hair, will be launched in India as per an exclusive licensing agreement with Spenta Multimedia.
The magazine offers its readers hundreds of latest haircuts, colours and trend updates. In addition celeb styles, expert advice and makeovers will be part of the content.
The magazine will also have regular columns from Indian hair and skin professionals such as dermatologists and hair stylists. The magazine which plans to have a celebrity on cover, as has been the trend among other lifestyle magazines in India, will have a judicious mix of national and international content.
Maneck Davar, proprietor, Spenta Multimedia feels that this is the appropriate time to launch such a title in India. His rationale: There is a sudden splurge in the demand of hair and beauty products, which is a result of changing consumer aspirations and lifestyles.”
Spenta Multimedia is one of the lead contract publishers in the country with magazines such as 'Jetwings', 'First Update', 'The Smart Manager' in its portfolio.
IPC Media is the UK’s leading consumer magazine selling over 350 million copies each year worldwide and it has magazines such as What’s on TV, Now, Marie Claire, In Style, Pick Me Up, Look among others in its portfolio.
It already has a presence in the Indian market, with Marie Claire which is published in agreement with the Outlook group.
