Dilshad Master joins UTV’s V&S Broadcasting as COO

Master’s last assignment was with NGC Network India, where she was working as senior vice-president for content and communication for National Geographic Channel and The History Channel

Dilshad Master, erstwhile senior vice-president, NGC Network, is back into action. She has joined the UTV Group subsidiary, V&S Broadcasting, as COO.

This UTV company plans to launch three channels by this year-end, which will be both entertainment as well as specialty channels.

The first one to hit the air will be Olive TV, which will showcase movies screened at awards functions and film festivals such as BAFTA, Cannes, Venice, Berlin, and Toronto.

Master will report to Shantonu Aditya, chief executive officer, V&S Broadcasting.

Aditya remarks, “Dilshad has years of rich experience in the specialty genre of television, along with the entertainment channels. Her expertise will be crucial to launch the number of such specialty channels that we intent to launch.”

In her last assignment with NGC Network India Master was senior vice-president for content and communication for National Geographic Channel and The History Channel. She has done her Masters degree in Telecommunications with a specialization in Broadcast Management from Michigan Sate University and spent around 17 years in the industry.

Prior to NGC Network India, she was the vice-president, operations for STAR Plus and STAR News. Master has also worked as the senior vice-president, international marketing, at STAR India and was also responsible for launching STAR's channels on the BSkyB platform in the UK during her tenure.
