Jain says, “From the moment I joined ABP and till now, the advertisement sales have been completely transformed. My role was pretty clear – to change the pace of the advertising. There has been a three-four times growth since then and this is a significant achievement. ABP is currently growing ahead of the industry in print advertising.”

Jain acquired a postgraduate in international business from IIFT in 1986. In the same year, he joined HUL (then HLL), and spent 13 years at the company in various capacities, and in sectors such as exports, beverages, food and detergents. During this period, he also worked on a global assignment in Arabia for Unilever. Prior to joining ABP, Jain had a fast-track career and rose to become managing director of Highland Distillers for India and area countries.

Jain is all set to join a service industry in the lifestyle and entertainment sector. He will join the company as executive vice-president.

“I have decided to pursue other interests and a fresh challenge in life. I leave it to my future company to make an announcement,” is all that Jain is willing to reveal right now.
