The marketing strategy included an extensive survey conducted among the locals in Kutch district, hoardings, banners and other OOH activities.

‘Divya Bhaskar’ adds Kutch edition to conquer Gujarat
Sanjay Bhatla, senior general manager, ‘Divya Bhaskar’, Mumbai, comments on the launch, “Kutch is a rapidly developing economic zone of the country with highest per capita deposits. Also being the largest district of Gujarat, it’s an important market for the Bhaskar Group. Thus, it helps us in expanding our brand to remote places in the Kutch belt.”

Ashwini Agarwal, state head, ‘Divya Bhaskar’, Gujarat, talks about the content the newspaper will include, “The localisation of content is the key to garner more readership. Along with the news from around the country, the paper will also offer the people of Kutch news from within their district and focus on issues that are faced by the people and try to offer solutions.”

The daily will include a section on women called ‘Madhurima’, on fiction called ‘Kalaash’, on films and Bollywood called ‘Navrang’, and on children called ‘Bal Bhaskar’. All these will be weekly supplements and will come out on different days of the week.
