Bhaskar Group to launch career magazine ‘Lakshya’

The Bhaskar Group is soon to launch ‘Lakshya’, a career magazine that caters to both students and professionals

The Bhaskar Group is taking a step in the direction of career grooming and education with ‘Lakshya’, its monthly career magazine in Hindi, aimed at professional grooming. The magazine will cater to both students and professionals.

The magazine will hit the stands on October 1, 2007. The mostly colour magazine will be marketed throughout the country, with a focus on the Hindi speaking markets. ‘Lakshya’ is a 68 page stand-alone magazine.

A web edition has been planned for later.

The magazine will encompass issues that students and professionals need to deal with. Feature tips on career growth, a career directory, a question and answer section, study abroad queries and options and diet plans will be discussed by renowned personalities from within the education and corporate world.

The editorial panel will be headed by Yashwant Vyas, editor. Others on the panel include Arjun Jindal, CEO, ‘Ready To Go?’, the study abroad guide, Parveen Malhotra, career counsellor, and Honey Irani, dietician.

“Unlike other career magazines that focus on entrance exams and entry level job opportunities alone, ‘Lakshya’ will provide insights into various other career options,” says Bharat Kapadia, executive director, Bhaskar Group.

Vyas says, “‘Lakshya’ will guide the reader to enhance his skills, which will help in achieving career goals.”

Marketing will not involve much of mass media, though the Bhaskar Group’s newspapers are already carrying advertisements of the forthcoming issue. “The further marketing strategy will be decided after the first issue of October,” says Kapadia.
