Prakash Iyer quits Infomedia

After four years with Infomedia, Prakash Iyer has decided to move on

Prakash Iyer, chief executive officer, Infomedia18, has put in his papers. However, he'll continue to serve the company till the end of March.

Infomedia is a media company with businesses ranging from business directories and magazine publishing to direct marketing, printing services and publishing outsourcing. It publishes various titles such as Overdrive, an automobile and bike magazine; Chip, a gadgets and technology magazine; AV Max, a magazine which reports on the latest happenings in the audio and video industry; and Yellow Pages. Network18 owns a majority stake in Infomedia India.

Talking to afaqs!, Iyer says, “It's been more than four years with Infomedia. It's now time to move on to new experiences and new challenges.” However, he did not reveal his next destination.

director, PepsiCo, responsible for its operations in South India and Sri Lanka. Subsequently, he moved to China as regional vice-president, PepsiCo China. While at Pepsi, Iyer won the ‘Presidents Ring Of Honour’, an international award that recognises outstanding sales professionals in PepsiCo worldwide. His stint at PepsiCo lasted seven years.

Iyer is a graduate in statistics and economics. An MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, he started his career in sales and marketing with Hindustan Lever.
