Mirchi tops in Delhi, Kolkata; Red FM in Mumbai, Big in Bengaluru

Radio Mirchi, Red FM and Big FM continue to hold on to their leadership positions in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Bengaluru

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 10 for the four cities is out. Radio Mirchi continues to lead in Kolkata and Delhi, Big FM in Bengaluru and Red FM in Mumbai.

Mumbai

Red FM is in the top spot, with a market share of 18.1 per cent in Week 10. Radio Mirchi has moved up a place to be in the second position, pushing Big FM to the third spot. Radio Mirchi, with 17 per cent share, has managed a healthy gain of 2.9 percentage points over last week. Big FM, with a share of 14.5 per cent this week, has suffered a loss of 1.3 percentage points in comparison to Week 9.

Radio City is fourth, with a 12.2 per cent share, a decrease of 1.1 percentage points. Retaining its fifth spot is AIR FM Gold, with a 10.9 per cent market share, a gain of 0.1 percentage points.

Amongst the other stations in Mumbai, Fever FM has 8.5 per cent share; Radio One has 6.7 per cent; AIR FM Rainbow has 4.8 per cent; Akashvani and Meow FM have 2.6 per cent each and Vividh Bharati has 2.0 per cent.

Delhi

Radio Mirchi is at the No.1 position in Delhi, with a market share of 27.2 per cent in Week 10, a gain of 0.8 percentage points over the previous week. AIR FM Gold continues in the second place, with a market share of 15.6 per cent, an increase of 0.4 percentage points over the previous week.

Fever FM has retained the third spot with a share of 12.8 per cent, a loss of 0.2 percentage points. Red FM has replaced Radio City in the fourth position with a share of 9.2 per cent, gaining 0.6 percentage points. Radio City is at the fifth position with a share of 9.0 per cent, experiencing a loss of 0.3 percentage points.

Among the other stations in Delhi, Radio One has 7.3 per cent market share, followed by Big FM (6.0 per cent); Meow FM (5.2 per cent); Hit FM (2.9 per cent); AIR FM Rainbow (2.7 per cent); Vividh Bharati (1.8 per cent) and Akashvani (0.3 per cent).

Bengaluru

Big FM is at the top spot here, with a 23 per cent share, showing no loss or gain over the previous week. Radio Mirchi continues in the second spot, having 16.9 per cent market share with a loss of 0.8 percentage points.

Holding on to the No. 3 position is AIR FM Rainbow, which has a 13.0 per cent market share, with a gain of 0.7 percentage points.

In Week 10, Radio One has moved up two positions, occupying the fourth position with 10.6 per cent share, a gain of 1.3 percentage points. Radio City has also moved up from its seventh position last week and occupies the fifth position, with a market share of 8.9 per cent, an increase of 0.7 percentage points.

SFM has lost the fourth position to Radio One and is at No. 6 in Week 10, with a share of 8.8 percent. Fever is in the seventh position with 8.0 per cent share, losing 2.1 percentage points over the previous week.

The other players in the market are AIR FM Vividh Bharati (4.4 per cent); Radio Indigo (3.7 per cent); Gyan Vani (1.6 per cent) and Akashvani (1.1 per cent).

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi, Big FM and Friends FM continue their leads in this market, occupying the first, second and third positions respectively.

With a share of 18.6 per cent, Radio Mirchi continues to be No. 1 in the city, though with a loss of 0.8 percentage points. Big FM has maintained its No. 2 position with a market share of 16 per cent, registering a gain of 0.2 percentage points over the previous week. Friends FM, too, maintained its position at No. 3, with a share of 12.2 per cent and a loss of 0.6 percentage points over Week 9.

Amaar FM, with a share of 10.3 per cent, is at No. 4, followed by Fever with 8.0 per cent share. Red FM is at No. 6, with a market share of 7.7 per cent. Radio One follows next with a market share of 7.3 per cent, registering a loss of 0.3 percentage points over the previous week.

The other radio stations in Kolkata are Meow FM (7.1 per cent); AIR FM Rainbow (4.8 per cent); AIR FM Gold (3.1 per cent); Akashvani (2.2 per cent); Power FM (1.5 per cent) and Vividh Bharati (1.2 per cent).
