In Week 32, Radio Mirchi continues to rule in three RAM markets, namely Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata; Big FM leads in Bengaluru
The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 32 reveals that the earlier status quo has been maintained in the leadership patterns in the four cities. Radio Mirchi continues to lead in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata and Big FM maintains its lead in Bengaluru.
Mumbai
Radio Mirchi rules the city with a market share of 17.8 per cent and a loss of 0.4 percentage points in comparison to Week 31.
The second and third positions are occupied by Red FM and Radio City. Red FM has a market share of 14.6 per cent with a gain of 0.7 percentage points.
This week, Radio City has moved up a position to become the third player. The radio station has a market share of 13.4 per cent. It has gained 1.5 percentage points over the previous week.
Big FM and AIR FM are placed fourth and fifth with market shares of 12.6 and 12.4 per cent respectively. This week, AIR FM has dropped down two positions, from being No. 3 in the previous week to being No. 5 this week.
Fever FM is placed sixth with a market share of 10.4 per cent and Radio One occupies the seventh spot with a market share of 7.3 per cent.
Amongst the other stations in Mumbai, AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 5 per cent, followed by Vividh Bharati (2.5 per cent); Akashvani (2.1 per cent); and Meow (1.9 per cent).
Delhi
Radio Mirchi is the No.1 radio station in the city. It has a market share of 25 per cent and has gained 1.2 percentage points over the previous week.
Fever FM and AIR FM occupy the second and third positions in the city. Fever FM has managed a market share of 20.4 per cent and AIR FM has a market share of 14 per cent.
The fourth spot is occupied by Radio City, with a market share of 9.3 per cent and a loss of 1 percentage point over Week 31. It is followed by Red FM in the fifth position. The radio station has garnered a market share of 8.4 per cent, with a loss of 0.1 percentage points.
Big FM and Radio One are placed sixth and seventh in Delhi and have market shares of 7.2 and 7.1 per cent respectively.
Among the other stations in Delhi, Meow FM has a market share of 2.6 per cent, followed by AIR FM Rainbow and Hit FM (2.2 per cent each); Vividh Bharati (1.3 per cent); and Akashvani (0.2 per cent).
Bengaluru
Big FM continues to lead in the city with a market share of 18.4 per cent, registering a loss of 0.9 percentage points over the previous week.
Radio Mirchi is placed second, with a market share of 16.9 per cent a gain of 0.5 percentage points. Garnering a market share of 15.2 per cent with a loss of 0.8 per cent, Fever FM occupies the third spot in the city.
AIR FM and Radio City are placed fourth and fifth, with market shares of 12.8 and 12.2 per cent respectively. AIR FM and Radio City have registered gains of 1.3 and 1 percentage points respectively in comparison to Week 31.
With a market share of 8.6 per cent, Radio One is placed sixth in the city. It is followed by S FM in the seventh spot, with a market share of 7.5 per cent. Vivid Bharati is the eighth player in the city, having managed a market share of 4.9 per cent.
In Week 32, amongst other stations in Bengaluru, Radio Indigo has 2.4 per cent market share, followed by Gyan Vani (0.5 per cent) and Akashvani (0.4 per cent).
Kolkata
The city is being ruled by Radio Mirchi, Big FM and Friends FM as the No.1, No.2 and No.3 players respectively.
The leader, Radio Mirchi, has scored a market share of 19.8 per cent and a gain of 0.8 percentage points. Occupying the second spot is Big FM, with a market share of 16.2 per cent. It has registered a loss of 0.3 percentage points over the previous week.
Friends FM is at No.3 with a market share of 14.8 per cent, a gain of 1.4 percentage points.
In Week 32, Aamar FM occupies the fourth place in Kolkata, with a market share of 9.3 per cent and registering a loss of 1.1 percentage points. Radio One has climbed up two spots to be placed at No.5. The radio station has managed a market share of 7.7 per cent with a gain of 1.4 percentage points.
Having a market share of 7.4 per cent, Red FM is the sixth player in Kolkata. It has lost 1.2 percentage points in comparison to Week 31. Next in line is Fever FM, which is placed seventh with a market share of 7 per cent.
Meow FM has dropped down two spots to settle as the player at No.8. The radio station has registered a market share of 5.6 per cent, with a loss of 0.9 percentage points.
In Week 32, among the other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 3.7 per cent, followed by AIR FM Gold (3.6 per cent); Akashvani (2.3 per cent); Power FM (1.9 per cent); and Vividh Bharati (0.8 per cent).
