The publishers of Stardust are launching Star Week, a film weekly magazine, this Friday
Film lovers will have something more to look forward to from this Friday (August 28). The publishers of Stardust are rolling out their first weekly, a film magazine called Star Week, on that day.
With a cover price of Rs 25, this weekly magazine is been positioned as the snappy and newsy film read. The tagline of the magazine reads, 'Snappy showbiz every Friday'. It will have 64 pages of editorial content.
This standalone magazine is targeted at the younger generation and those who are constantly on the move. Varde will be heading the magazine.
The marketing and editorial teams of the magazine will be different from that of Stardust. Its editorial team will comprise around 12-14 people, including the editorial contributors from the film industry.
On whether the content of Star Week could coincide with that of Stardust, considering that both are film-based magazines, Varde informs, "The content of Star Week will be radically different from that of Stardust. Stardust is more tuned towards leisure reading, whereas this new offering will be more newsy, topical and snappy."
He adds that with this launch, the publication will add a new set of advertisers, which will also include those associated with films. The magazine will hit the stands every Friday, as it is regarded as a special day for the film industry.
The content mix of the weekly will include film fashion, film previews, quick interviews and trade analysis. "Anything and everything that happens in the film industry will be there," says Varde.
The cover of the magazine is yet to be finalised.
