In Week 33, Radio Mirchi continues to reign supreme in the three RAM markets, namely Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata. Big FM continues to lead in Bengaluru
The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 33 for the four cities is out and as has been the case for a couple of weeks, Radio Mirchi continues to lead in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata, while Big FM leads in Bengaluru.
Mumbai
Radio Mirchi is the city's favourite radio station. It leads in the city with a market share of 18.9 per cent, gaining 1.1 percentage points compared to the previous week.
Red FM and AIR FM are placed second and third, with market shares of 15 per cent and 12.5 per cent respectively. This week, AIR FM has moved two spots to occupy the third position, with a gain of 0.1 percentage points.
Radio City is placed fourth, with a market share of 12 per cent. Last week, it was at No. 3 in Mumbai. With a market share of 11.7 per cent, Big FM is placed fifth in the city. This week, it has lost 0.9 percentage points.
With market shares of 11 and 6.8 per cent, Fever FM and Radio One are placed sixth and seventh respectively.
Amongst the other stations in Mumbai are AIR FM Rainbow (5.3 per cent); Vividh Bharati (2.5 per cent); Akashvani (2.2 per cent); and Meow FM (2.1 per cent).
Delhi
Radio Mirchi is the No.1 radio station in the city. It leads with a market share of 26 per cent.
It is followed by Fever FM and AIR FM in the second and third positions respectively. Fever FM has managed a market share of 19.3 per cent, registering a loss of 1.1 percentage points. AIR FM has a market share of 15.6 per cent, with a gain of 1.6 percentage points.
The fourth spot is occupied by Radio City with a market share of 8.7 per cent with a loss of 0.6 percentage points over the previous week. It is followed by Red FM in the fifth position. The radio station has garnered a market share of 8.5 per cent, gaining 0.1 percentage points.
With a market share of 6.9 per cent, Radio One is placed sixth in Delhi. It is followed by Big FM in the seventh spot, with a market share 6.4 per cent.
Among the other stations in Delhi, Hit FM has a market share of 2.2 per cent, followed by AIR FM Rainbow and Meow FM (2.1 per cent each); Vividh Bharati (1.9 per cent); and Akashvani (0.2 per cent).
Bengaluru
As has been the case for several weeks, in Week 33, too, the status quo in Bengaluru remains unchanged, with Big FM occupying the No.1 spot, followed by Radio Mirchi and Fever FM as the second and third players.
This week, Big FM has a market share of 20.5 per cent, registering a gain of 2.1 percentage points in comparison to Week 31.
Radio Mirchi is placed second, with a market share of 15.4 per cent, a loss of 1.5 percentage points. Fever FM occupies the third spot with a market share of 15.3 per cent and a gain of 0.1 percentage points.
AIR FM and Radio City are placed fourth and fifth in the market, with market shares of 12.1 and 11.4 per cent respectively. AIR FM and Radio City have registered losses of 0.7 and 0.8 percentage points in comparison to Week 32.
S FM has moved up a spot to become the No.6 player, with a market share of 8.9 per cent. Next in line is Radio One, with a market share of 8.8 per cent, registering a gain of 0.2 percentage points.
Vivid Bharati is the eighth player in the city, having managed a market share of 3.9 per cent.
In Week 33, amongst others in Bengaluru, Radio Indigo has 2.5 per cent market share, followed by Gyan Vani (0.6 per cent) and Akashvani (0.4 per cent each).
Kolkata
The city is ruled by Radio Mirchi, Big FM and Friends FM at the top three positions respectively.
Radio Mirchi scores topmost in the city, with a market share of 18.6 per cent and a loss of 1.2 percentage points. Occupying the second spot is Big FM, with a market share of 17.6 per cent. The radio station has registered a gain of 1.4 percentage points over the previous week.
Friends FM is at No. 3, with a market share of 14.3 per cent and a loss of 0.5 percentage points.
This week, Aamar FM occupies the fourth place in Kolkata with a market share of 10.3 per cent, registering a gain of 1 percentage point. Red FM has moved up a spot with a market share of 7.6 per cent, gaining 0.2 percentage points.
With a market share of 6.5 per cent and a loss of 0.5 percentage points, Fever FM is placed sixth in the city. It is followed by Meow FM and Radio One, with market shares of 6.4 per cent and 6.2 per cent respectively.
In Week 33, among the other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 3.9 per cent, followed by AIR FM Gold (3.8 per cent); Akashvani (2.5 per cent); Power FM (1.6 per cent); and Vividh Bharati (0.8 per cent).
