In Week 37, Radio Mirchi continues to lead in three RAM markets, while Big FM rules Bengaluru
The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 37 for four RAM markets reinforces the trend of the past few weeks. This week too, Radio Mirchi leads in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata, and Big FM is No.1 in Bengaluru.
Mumbai
Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 18.8 per cent, gaining 1.1 percentage points in comparison to Week 36.
Red FM and AIR FM Gold are No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Red FM has a market share of 14.3 per cent, with a loss of 0.9 percentage point; while AIR FM Gold has a market share of 13.7 per cent, with a gain of 1.2 percentage points.
Fever FM has moved up two spots to No. 4; it has a market share of 12.3 per cent, registering a gain of 0.3 percentage point. With a market share of 12 per cent, Radio City is at No. 5.
Big FM is at No. 6, with a market share of 11.1 per cent, registering a loss of 1.3 percentage points. It is followed by Radio One at No. 7, with a market share of 6 per cent.
Amongst the other stations in Mumbai, AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 5 per cent; Vividh Bharati has 2.7 per cent; Akashvani has 2.2 per cent and Meow FM has 2 per cent market share.
Delhi
Radio Mirchi has a market share of 23.5 per cent in the city, with a loss of 1.2 percentage points.
Fever FM and AIR FM Gold are at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Fever FM has a market share of 21.9 per cent, registering a loss of 0.1 percentage point. AIR FM has a market share of 16.4 per cent, registering a gain 1.6 percentage points.
Red FM continues at No. 4, with a market share of 8.2 per cent, gaining 0.3 percentage point. Radio City is at No. 5, with a market share of 7.7 per cent, losing 0.1 percentage point.
With a market share of 7 per cent, Radio One is at No. 6, with a loss of 0.6 percentage point. It is followed by Big FM, which has a market share 6.5 per cent.
Among the other stations in Delhi, AIR FM Rainbow and Meow FM have a market share of 2.4 per cent each, followed by Hit FM (2.2 per cent), Vividh Bharati (1.6 per cent) and Akashvani (0.2 per cent).
Bengaluru
Big FM leads with a market share of 18.3 per cent, registering a gain of 0.2 percentage point.
It is followed by Radio Mirchi and Fever FM at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Radio Mirchi has a market share of 16.7 per cent, registering a loss of 0.7 percentage point. Fever FM has 16.4 per cent, gaining 1.4 percentage points.
AIR FM Rainbow and Radio City are at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively. The former has a market share of 11.6 per cent, with a loss of 0.2 percentage point; whereas Radio City has 11.2 per cent, with a loss of 1.5 percentage points.
Radio One is at No. 6 in the city, with a market share of 8.9 per cent. It is followed by Red FM with a market share of 8.6 per cent.
Vivid Bharati is at No. 8, with a market share of 4.3 per cent, registering a loss of 0.7 percentage point.
Amongst other radios stations in Bengaluru are Radio Indigo (3.1 per cent market share), Gyan Vani (0.7 per cent) and Akashvani (0.4 per cent).
Kolkata
The top three players in Kolkata are Radio Mirchi, Big FM and Friends FM, in that order.
Radio Mirchi has a market share of 19.2 per cent, with a loss of 0.8 percentage point. Big FM is has 17.7 per cent, registering a gain of 1.5 percentage points; while Friends FM has 14 per cent, registering a gain of 0.3 percentage point.
In Week 37, Aamar FM is at No. 4, with a market share of 11.1 per cent, registering a gain of 0.9 percentage point.
Red FM is at No. 5, with a market share of 7.2 per cent. It is followed by Fever FM with a market share of 6.6 per cent.
Next in line are Meow FM and Radio One, with market shares of 6 and 5.6 per cent, respectively.
In Week 37, among the other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 4 per cent, followed by AIR FM Gold (3.6 per cent), Akashvani (2.4 per cent), Power FM (1.7 per cent) and Vividh Bharati (1 per cent).
