Soon after the appointment of Vehrnon Ibrahim as national programming head, Meow FM has roped in Adhir Bhogte as national sales head.
Bhogte will take charge of his new role today; he will report to Ashish Bagga, chief executive officer, Living Media India. Bhogte will be based out of Mumbai.
Confirming the development to afaqs! Bhogte says, "Radio excites me more than anything else. Going by the way things are shaping up for the industry, especially with the third phase of radio licensing awaited, it's bound to get more exciting and interesting."
During his 17-year career, Bhogte has worked in print, radio and TV. He has been associated with brands such as Business Today, Dainik Bhaskar and Radio City. He has also been associated with Viacom18 for 17 months - for four months, he was involved in the sales planning process for Colors; and prior to taking up the new role at Meow, he worked with MTV as head sales - West and South, for 13 months. He has also worked with Radio City for about four years. He holds a postgraduate degree in Marketing Management from Mumbai University.
