The magazine is aimed at the power sector
Next Gen Publishing, a publisher of special interest magazines, has launched PowerWatch India, a B2B magazine targeted at the power sector.
H S Billimoria, CEO, Next Gen Publishing, calls it an industry player. "For a sector wherein private equity and the private sector's active participation has just started flowing in, it is very important for all stakeholders to have access to accurate, up-to-date information. As a stakeholder in the sector itself, we do not like to call ourselves a magazine," he says.
Saptarshi R Dutta, editor, says, "We expect PowerWatch India to play the role of a catalyst in India's energy sector at every step of the sector's growth and establish a unique identity for ourselves." This is the ninth magazine from the Next Gen Publishing stable.
Next Gen Publishing house was established in 2004 and operates four divisions: magazine publishing, business directories, business information and business process outsourcing.
The magazine division has eight special interest magazines: FHM (For Him Magazine), Mother & Baby, Car India, Commercial Vehicle, Bike India, Computer Active, Smart Photography and Ideal Home and Garden.
Besides PowerWatch, three magazines from other publishers exist in this category: Power Line, Power Today and India Infrastructure.
