RAM Week 13: Big FM moves up in Mumbai; Fever FM slips a spot

The market shares of both Red FM and Radio One have remained the same this week

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for the four RAM markets is out. Here is an update on the happenings in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata.

Mumbai

Radio Mirchi is No. 1 in the city with a market share of 17.3 per cent. Its average share in the city for the past four weeks stands at 17.1 per cent.

The second and third places are occupied by Red FM and Radio City respectively.

Red FM has a market share of 14.2 per cent and its four weeks' average market share stands at 14.2 per cent. Radio City has a market share of 13.7 per cent, registering a gain of 0.6 percentage points in comparison to Week 12.

AIR FM Gold has managed to safeguard its fourth position this week with a market share of 11.7 per cent, without registering any loss or gain over the previous week. Big FM has moved up a spot to occupy the fifth position this week. It has registered a market share of 11.6 per cent, gaining 0.5 percentage points over the previous week.

In Week 13, Fever FM has slipped a spot to occupy the sixth place in the city. Its market share is 11.2 per cent with a loss of 0.2 percentage points. Its four weeks' market share turns out to be 11.4 per cent.

Radio One occupies the seventh spot with a market share of 5.8 per cent. This week, both AIR FM Rainbow and Vividh Bharati have registered identical market shares of 4.9 per cent each.

Among the other stations in Mumbai is Meow FM, which has a market share of 2.6 per cent; followed by Akashvani Mumbai (2.2 per cent).

Delhi

Radio Mirchi leads in Delhi with a market share of 24.7 per cent, registering a loss of 0.1 percentage points over the previous week. Its average market share over the past four weeks is 24.3 per cent, 0.2 percentage points higher than Week 12.

Fever FM, the No.2 radio station, has a market share of 18.8 per cent and its four weeks' average market share is 18.7 per cent. At No. 3, AIR FM Gold commands a market share of 17.8 per cent.

Red FM is No. 4 with a market share of 9.4 per cent and has registered a loss of 0.4 percentage points in comparison to Week 12. Radio City is at No. 5 with a market share of 8.5 per cent and a gain of 0.2 percentage points.

Big FM is placed sixth with a market share of 6.6 per cent. Radio One is seventh in the city with a market share of 5.2 per cent and its last four weeks' average market share is 5.3 per cent.

Among the other stations in Delhi this week are Meow FM, which has a market share of 2.8 per cent; followed by AIR FM Rainbow (2.1 per cent); Vividh Bharati (1.8 per cent); and Hit FM (0.3 per cent).

Bengaluru

Big FM is No.1 in the city, followed by Radio Mirchi and Fever FM at No. 2 and No. 3 positions, respectively.

Big FM has a market share of 19.3 per cent and its average market share for the last four weeks stands at 19.5 per cent, which is the same as last week.

Radio Mirchi has a market share of 17.8 per cent, gaining 0.1 percentage points over last week. Fever FM has a market share of 15.1 per cent, with a loss of 0.1 percentage points. Its last four weeks' average market share stands at 15.3 per cent.

Radio City is placed fourth with a market share of 12.6 per cent; its average market share for the last four weeks is 12.5 per cent, 0.1 percentage points higher than last week.

AIR FM Rainbow at No. 5 has a market share of 10.1 per cent with a gain of 0.5 percentage points over Week 12. The radio station's four weeks' average market share is

9.6 per cent.

Red FM has maintained the sixth position. It has registered a market share of 8.8 per cent. Radio One is next in line with a market share of 8.4 per cent.

The market shares of both Red FM and Radio One this week have remained the same as in Week 12.

Among others in Bengaluru in Week 13 is Vividh Bharati with a market share of 4.2 per cent. It is followed by Radio Indigo (2.7 per cent); Gyan Vani (0.6 per cent);

and Akashvani (0.5 per cent).

Kolkata

The No. 1 player in the city is Radio Mirchi with a market share of 20.7 per cent. Its four weeks' average market share is 20.3 per cent.

Big FM and Friends FM occupy the second and third spots respectively. Big FM has a market share of 17.7 per cent, gaining 0.7 percentage points over the previous week. Its four weeks' average market share is 16.8 per cent.

Friends FM has a market share of 11.9 per cent and the radio station's market share has remained unchanged over the previous week. Its last four weeks' average market share stands at 12.7 per cent.

Aamar FM is at No. 4, with a market share of 10.8 per cent, gaining 0.1 percentage points over Week 12. The last four weeks' average market share for the radio station is 10.7 per cent.

Red FM occupies the fifth position with a market share of 8.5 per cent. It is followed by Fever FM with a market share of 7.2 per cent. Its last four weeks' average market share stands at 7.8 per cent.

Radio One and Meow FM occupy the seventh and eighth spots in the city with market shares of 6.2 per cent and 5.7 per cent, respectively.

In Week 13, among the other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 3.8 per cent, followed by AIR FM Gold (3.3 per cent); Akashvani (2.2 per cent); Power FM (1.3 per cent); and Vividh Bharati (0.6 per cent).
