RAM Week 23: Red FM and Fever FM fight for No. 5 position in Kolkata

In Delhi, AIR FM Rainbow increases its share marginally by adding 0.2 percentage points

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for the four RAM markets for Week 23 is out. Here is an update on the developments in the four RAM markets.

Mumbai

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 17.2 per cent, registering a loss of 0.3 percentage points over the previous week. Its average market share for the last four weeks stands at 17.3 per cent.

The second and third spots in the city are occupied by Red FM and Radio City respectively.

Red FM has maintained its market share of 14.1 per cent and its last four weeks' average market share stands at 14.2 per cent.

Radio City has a market share of 13.2 per cent, with a loss of 0.2 percentage points over the previous week. The last four weeks' average market share for the radio station is 13.1 per cent.

Big FM is placed fourth in the city with a market share of 11.6 per cent and its last four weeks' market share stands at 11.7 per cent.

Air FM Gold occupies the fifth spot with a market share of 11.3 per cent and a loss of 0.1 percentage points.

Fever FM is No. 6 in the city with a market share of 11.2 per cent, registering a gain of 0.2 percentage points. Its last four weeks' market share turns out to be 11.1 per cent.

Radio One is placed seventh with a market share of 6.6 per cent and a gain of 0.1 percentage points. AIR FM Rainbow follows with a market share of 5.5 per cent, without registering any loss or gain this week.

Among the other stations in Mumbai are Vividh Bharati, which has a market share of 4.5 per cent, followed by Akashvani Mumbai (2.7 per cent) and Meow FM (2.1 per cent).

Delhi

Radio Mirchi is No. 1 in the city with a market share of 24.9 per cent, gaining 0.3 percentage points in comparison to Week 22. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 24.6 per cent.

Fever FM and AIR FM Gold occupy the second and third spots in Delhi.

Fever FM has a market share of 18.9 per cent and a gain of 0.1 percentage points. AIR FM Gold, placed third, has a market share of 17.3 per cent with a loss of 0.5 percentage points. Its last four weeks' average market share stands at 18.7 per cent.

Red FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 9.6 per cent, same as the last two weeks. Its last four weeks' average market share stands at 9.6 per cent.

Radio City is at No. 5 with a market share of 8.5 per cent, registering a loss of 0.1 percentage points in comparison to Week 22. Big FM is placed sixth with a market share of 7 per cent, same as the previous week.

Radio One is No.7 with a market share of 5.9 per cent, gaining 0.2 percentage points over last week and its last four weeks' average market share stands at 5.6 per cent.

Among other stations in Delhi this week are Meow FM, which has a market share of 2.9 per cent; followed by AIR FM Rainbow (1.9 per cent); Vividh Bharati (1.6 per cent); Hit FM (1.2 per cent); and Akashvani Delhi (1 per cent).

Bengaluru

Big FM is No. 1 in the city with a market share of 19.5 per cent, showing a loss of 0.2 percentage points. Its last four weeks' average market share is 19.6 per cent.

Radio Mirchi and Fever FM occupy the No. 2 and No. 3 spots in the city.

Radio Mirchi has a market share of 17.4 per cent, registering a gain of 0.1 percentage points over last week. Its four weeks' average market share is 17.5 per cent.

Fever FM has a market share of 15.5 per cent with a gain of 0.2 percentage points. Its last four weeks' average market share turns out to be 15.2 per cent.

Radio City is placed fourth with a market share of 12.6 per cent, registering a gain of 0.2 percentage points. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 12.3 per cent.

AIR FM Rainbow is at No. 5 and has a market share of 9.6 per cent, which is the same as last week. The radio station's four weeks' average market share is 9.7 per cent.

Radio One is placed sixth in the city with a market share of 8.8 per cent and a loss of 0.1 percentage points in comparison to Week 22.

Red FM is placed seventh with a market share of 8.5 per cent, gaining 0.1 percentage points over the previous week.

Among others in Bengaluru in Week 23, Vividh Bharati has a market share of 4.5 per cent, followed by Radio Indigo (2.9 per cent), Gyan Vani (0.6 per cent) and Akashvani (0.2 per cent).

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi is No. 1 in the city with a market share of 20.7 per cent, showing a gain of 0.1 percentage points. Its four weeks' average market share is 20.2 per cent.

Big FM and Friends FM are placed No. 2 and No. 3 in the city.

Big FM has a market share of 17.9 per cent, registering a gain of 0.4 percentage points over the previous week. Its four weeks' average market share is 17.4 per cent.

Friends FM has a market share of 11.2 per cent with a loss of 0.3 per cent and its last four weeks' average market share is 11.7 per cent.

Aamar FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 10.9 per cent and a gain of 0.1 percentage points. Its last four weeks' average market share also turns out to be 10.8 per cent.

This week, Red FM has moved up to occupy the fifth position with a market share of 8.5 per cent, albeit with a loss of 0.2 percentage points in comparison to Week 22.

Fever FM is placed sixth with a market share of 8.2 per cent and its last four weeks' market share turns out to be 8.4 per cent.

Radio One has moved up a spot and is placed seventh with a market share of 5.8 per cent, registering a gain of 0.4 percentage points. It is followed by Meow FM with a market share of 5.4 per cent.

In Week 23, among the other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM Rainbow has a market share of 3.5 per cent, followed AIR FM Gold (3.3 per cent), Akashvani (2.4 per cent), Power FM (1.4 per cent) and Vividh Bharati (0.9 per cent).
