RAM Week 35: In Kolkata, Red FM and Fever FM in a close fight for No. 5 position

In Bengaluru, both Red FM and Radio One have managed an identical market share of 8.4 per cent

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 35 is out. Here is an update on the four RAM markets.

Mumbai

Radio Mirchi is No. 1 in the city with a market share of 17.5 per cent; while its average market share for the last four weeks is 17.4 per cent.

The second and third spots in the city are occupied by Red FM and Radio City, respectively. Red FM has a market share of 13.8 per cent; and its last four weeks' average market share is 13.5 per cent. Radio City has a market share of 13.4 per cent, the same as last week. Its last four weeks' average market share is 13.5 per cent.

Big FM is at No. 4, with a market share of 11.6 per cent. Its last four weeks' average market share is also 11.6 per cent.

AIR FM Gold continues at No. 5 with a market share of 11.3 per cent, without registering any gain or loss over the previous week. It is followed by Fever FM, with a market share of 11 per cent.

Radio One is at No. 7, with a market share of 6.3 per cent. It is followed by AIR FM Rainbow with a market share of 5.2 per cent.

Among the other stations in Mumbai in Week 35 are Vividh Bharati, which has a market share of 4.8 per cent; followed by Meow FM (2.7 per cent) and Akashvani Mumbai (2.4

per cent).

Delhi

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 24.6 per cent. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 24.5 per cent.

At No. 2, Fever FM has a market share of 18.6 per cent. It is followed by AIR FM Gold, which has a market share of 17.9 per cent.

Red FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 9.9 per cent; while Radio City is at No. 5 with a market share of 8.4 per cent. The radio station has registered a loss of 0.4 percentage point over the previous week.

Big FM is at No. 6 with a market share of 7.2 per cent, the same as last week. It is followed by Radio One with a market share of 5.4 per cent, registering a loss of 0.4 percentage point vis-à-vis Week 34.

Among the other stations in Delhi in Week 35 is Meow FM, which has a market share of 2.3 per cent. It is followed by Hit FM (1.9 per cent), AIR FM Rainbow (1.8 per cent), Vividh Bharati (1.6 per cent) and Akashvani (0.3 per cent).

Bengaluru

Big FM leads in the city with a market share of 19.3 per cent; while its last four weeks' average market share is 18.7 per cent.

At No. 2, Radio Mirchi has a market share of 17.8 per cent. Its last four weeks' average market share is 17.5 per cent.

Fever FM is at No. 3, with a market share of 15.4 per cent; and its last four weeks' average market share is 15.3 per cent.

Radio City is placed fourth with a market share of 12.6 per cent, without registering any loss or gain in comparison to the previous week. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 12.7 per cent.

AIR FM Rainbow is at No. 5 with a market share of 9.7 per cent; while its last four weeks' average market share is 9.3 per cent.

In Week 35, both Red FM and Radio One have scored identical market shares of 8.4 per cent each. While Red FM has lost 0.4 percentage point in comparison to Week 34; Radio One has registered a loss of 0.3 percentage point in the same period.

Among others in Bengaluru in Week 35 is Vividh Bharati, with a market share of 4.4 per cent, followed by Radio Indigo (2.7 per cent), Gyan Vani (1.1 per cent) and Akashvani (0.2 per cent).

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 20.4 per cent, with a gain of 0.1 percentage point over the previous week. Big FM and Friends FM are placed No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.

Big FM has a market share of 17.1 per cent with a loss of 0.2 percentage point. Friends FM has a market share of 11.6 per cent, with a gain of 0.2 percentage point over Week 34. Its last four weeks' average market share is 11.5 per cent.

Aamar FM is at No. 4 with a market share of 10.9 per cent; while its last four weeks' average market share is 10.7 per cent.

This week, Fever FM, with a market share of 8.6 per cent, has replaced Red FM as the No. 5 player in the city. Red FM has moved down a spot to No. 6. The radio station has a market share of 8.1 per cent, registering a loss 0.5 percentage point.

Radio One is at No. 7 with a market share of 6.5 per cent, registering a gain of 0.2 percentage point. Meow FM has registered a market share of 5.1 per cent.

In Week 35, among the other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM Gold has a market share of 3.6 per cent; followed by AIR FM Rainbow (3.4 per cent), Akashvani (2.4 per cent), Power FM (1.6 per cent) and Vividh Bharati (0.7 per cent).
