Mudra Max bags Huawei's media duties

Mudra Group also has the creative mandate for Huawei; the account size is around Rs 200 crore, spread over the next two years

It's a double win for the Mudra Group. After having bagged the creative duties for telecom solutions provider, Huawei; it has also added the media mandate to its kitty.

The media duties were awarded to Mudra Max following a multi-agency pitch, which involved around 10 agencies. Some of the participating agencies were OMD, Lodestar UM, MediaCom, MPG, Motivator and TME.

While no official confirmation was forthcoming at the time of filing this report, senior sources close to the development have confirmed the win. The ad spends of the company are pegged at Rs 200 crore, spread over the next two years.

Huawei was on the lookout for communication partners for its new range of mobile handsets. A few of these handsets, including Hangout and Android, were unveiled in July. The phones were made available in the market on August 01, 2010. The Chinese major has aggressive plans in India, considering the rate at which mobile telephony is growing in the subcontinent.

For the record, China's Huawei, apart from being a telecom solutions provider, has presence in telecom network infrastructure, application and software, professional services and devices. The brand claims that its products and solutions have been deployed in more than 100 countries across the globe.

Mudra Max, on its part, provides solutions across a wide array of media touch-points through its 16 strategic business units -- Connext (business solutions through media), RADAR (connecting brands and consumers through media), Primesite (out-of-home solutions), Prime Consult (outdoor environment consulting), Prime Retail (retail and visual strategy), Prime Wayfinding (navigation solutions), Kidstuff (promotional marketing), Celsius (events marketing), Multiplier (trade marketing), StreetSmart (interactive out-of-home solutions), Terra (bottom of the pyramid marketing), 10integrated (sports marketing), Videotec (brands + entertainment), Pratham (Field Force Management), Mudra Concrea (youth marketing) and ClearChannel Mudra (global out-of-home solutions).

The agency's major clients include Reliance ADAG, Nike, HUL, Pepsi, Aircel, ITC, Wipro, Reebok, Times Group and Samsung.
