The media agency has appointed Naveen Singh as country manager.
Global media agency DWA has entered the Indian market by opening its first office in Delhi. To manage its business in India, the agency has appointed Naveen Singh as country manager.
In his new role, Singh will help to manage the existing India accounts and drive growth in the Indian market place.
Adds Massey, "We're focussed on organic growth, and our client base of both international and India-based companies has grown so fast over the last couple of financial years that we now need to invest in a permanent home; our Asia-Pacific teams in Sydney and Singapore have done a fantastic job managing our India business to date, but it's time to recognise the scale and potential of the market by growing our team on the ground."
Singh, who has more than 16 years experience with primary focus on maximising sales and marketing, is a graduate in electronics and has completed management studies from IIM Bangalore. Singh began his career as national sales manager with Cyber Media in 1996. After nine years, he moved to IDG Media as vice-president in 2005. Subsequently, he joined 9.9 Mediaworx as vice-president, sales and marketing.
For the record, with the opening of DWA's Indian office, the total number of operational offices of the agency has grown to eight, out of which four are in the Asia-Pacific region (Sydney, Singapore, Delhi and Auckland). Globally, DWA operates in North America, Europe, West Asia and Africa (EMEA), and the Asia-Pacific.
