The business was won following a multi-agency pitch; the account size is estimated at Rs 15 crore.
Management entrance training institute IMS Learning Resources has appointed Aegis Media's Vizeum India as its media AOR (agency of record). The agency won the business, following a multi-agency pitch that involved around four agencies. The pitch was held about a month ago.
The win comes close on the heels of Vizeum picking up the media duties of Nickelodeon.
On the appointment of Vizeum, Sanjay Barretto, marketing head, IMS, says, "We have chosen Vizeum for its understanding of the test prep business and its target audience. We feel Vizeum will do justice in providing support to our future plans. We look forward to building a long term partnership with the agency in achieving our objectives."
S Yesudas, managing director, Indian sub-continent, Vizeum, tells afaqs!, "We have a strong understanding of the overall market, IMS' position in the marketplace, and how the brand could move to the particular desired position in the market. We identified the existing gaps -- our clear strategy was how to fill those gaps."
He adds, "Vizeum was launched less than two years ago and today manages more than 25 engagements won through multi-agency pitches and referrals across all our three offices. Clients are waking up to the reality of engaging with partners, and not media traders. Each client is our ambassador."
The business will be handled from the agency's Mumbai office. Industry estimates peg the account size at Rs 15 crore.
For the record, IMS, a significant brand in management entrance training, features among the most trusted brands in the country. IMS runs more than 100 centres in the country, and more than 50,000 of its trained students have successfully made it to prestigious institutes in India and abroad.
