Star Plus adds 11 points to its kitty; Colors adds 19 points in Week 29

At No. 6, Imagine TV lost 39 GRPs during the week, to score 65 GRPs. Its relative share has also dropped from 8.1 per cent to 5.1 per cent. STAR One, with 37 GRPs and a channel share of 2.9 per cent, follows it.

Star Plus, the Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) that continues to lead the category, has bagged 320 GRPs for the week ended July 16, after adding 11 extra points over the previous week (TAM, C&S 4+, HSM).

Its relative channel share has also moved up from 24.1 per cent in Week 28 to 25.3 per cent in Week 29.

Meanwhile, riding on the back of Balika Vadhu and Uttaran, second-in-command Colors has added 19 points to its kitty to end the week with 271 GRPs. Its channel share has moved up from 19.6 per cent to 21.4 per cent.

At No. 3, Zee TV is at 185 GRPs, after losing 8 points over the previous week. Its relative share saw a very minor fall. It declined from 15 per cent in Week 28, to 14.6 per cent in Week 29.

The No. 4 GEC, Sony, has witnessed a two-point fall from 184 GRPs to 182 GRPs. Its relative share is, however, stable at 14.3 per cent.

Sibling channel SAB, at the fifth position, has scored 133 GRPs in Week 29. Its relative channel share is 10.5 per cent for the week, up from 10.2 per cent during the previous week.

At No. 6, Imagine TV lost 39 GRPs during the week to score 65 GRPs. Its relative share has also dropped from 8.1 per cent to 5.1 per cent. STAR One, with 37 GRPs and a channel share of 2.9 per cent, follows it.

Sahara One is at No. 8. The channel's relative share and GRPs have increased marginally to 2.4 per cent (2.3 per cent in the previous week) and 31 GRPs (30 GRPs in the previous week), respectively.

STAR Utsav and DD1 have garnered relative shares of 1.9 per cent and 1.2 per cent, respectively.

Balika Vadhu (Colors) leads the list of the 10 most-watched programmes, clocking a TVR of 5.55, followed by Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Star Plus) and Uttaran (Colors) with TVRs of 5.26 and 5.04, respectively.

The fourth most-watched programme is Pavitra Rishta, with 5.01 TVR. Saathiya Saath Nibhana (4.36 TVR), Pratigya (4.18 TVR), Bade Achhe Lagte Hain (3.84 TVR), Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (3.84 TVR), Navya (3.7 TVR) and Ram Milayi Jodi (3.36 TVR) are also a part of the Top 10 list.
