Her mandate will involve spearheading and strengthening the southern operations, which includes looking after work done in the Chennai, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh offices.
Mindshare, the GroupM-promoted media planning and buying agency, has beefed up its southern operations by roping in Kavitha Srinivasan as partner, client leadership. Based in Chennai, she will report to Chirantan Chandran, principal partner, client leadership, Mindshare (South and East).
Srinivasan was earlier with OMD, Chennai, as general manager, handling brands such as Renault, Henkel, Roca, Venus, Lotte, Pudhiya Thalaimurai, and Sify.
This is Srinivasan's second stint at Mindshare.
In an official communiqué, R Gowthaman, leader, Mindshare South Asia, says, "Srinivasan's coming back on board is another step towards bringing quality talent to strengthen the senior leadership team in the South. The requirements of some of our clients in Chennai are deeply-rooted in the market and its culture. Since she has a strong understanding of the market and the Mindshare system, we are hoping to culturally connect with local consumers and bring value to local advertisers at the same time."
Srinivasan, who has more than 15 years of experience in the media industry, has worked with several agencies such as TME, Lodestar and subsequently, with Mindshare Chennai and OMD.
She has handled various clients such as Club Mahindra, Indian Terrain, Stylz Spa, TTK-LIG, Sun DTH, Kirtilals, Tulsyan NEC, Ananda Vikatan, Ford and TTK Healthcare, to mention a few.
