But he isn't saying what his next move will be.
Sukesh Motwani, the fiction programming head at Zee TV, has put in his papers, ending his five and a half year stint with the broadcast company. He confirmed the development but added, "I have not yet decided on my next move; I intend to go on a sabbatical for a while."
It is pertinent to note here that it was in September 2012 when Zee lost its non-fiction programming head, Ashish Golwalkar, who also reported to Bhalwankar.
An electronic engineer, Motwani began his career as a writer, creating shows and formats for his uncle Kamal Nathani. There, he got exposed to direction making travel shows and musical game shows.
In 1999, he joined Nimbus to make fiction shows for Doordarshan and became a screenplay writer with shows like Kahani Saat Pheron Ki, Agni and Shakti, which all ran on DD National.
Later, he joined UTV as senior creative director for the entire afternoon band of Star Plus including Bhabhi and Shagun. He was also in charge of UTV's story department.
