Amagi provides an opportunity to leverage a medium like TV and still advertise only to a relevant geography. It will purchase ad space from Zee Media Corporation Ltd (ZMCL) nationally, split the inventory and provide regional ad inventories to advertisers. According to the company, this way, the same ad spot gets multiple advertisers, thereby benefitting them since the spot is seen only in the region that they require.

The deal between the two companies is for one year and the inventory is spread across time slots and if needed, on specific time bands as well.

Jitesh Rajdeo, chief sales officer, Zee Media Corp, says, "Amagi is the new wave in making TV advertising affordable to one and all. We are very happy to tie up with Amagi, and bring on board a whole new set of brands on Zee News and Zee Business."

L S Krishnan, business head, Amagi, adds, "Amagi has been a pioneer in bringing geo-targeting to the Indian TV media industry. Tying up with a leader like Zee News adds significant strength to our portfolio, thereby expanding the depth of our offering to advertisers."

Talking about the responses from the advertisers, Krishnan tells afaqs!, "We are getting strong response from advertisers for Zee News. In fact, we are very happy with the secondage consumption we are seeing on it. Zee News brings strength to our portfolio with high viewership and deep distribution. We are able to break into newer clients with it due to the strength of the brand."

Amagi claims to provide geo-targeting on 15+ TV channels across news, sports, movies, music, lifestyle and GEC genres. The channels include Times Now, CNBC Awaaz, IBN7, CNN-IBN, UTV Movies, Zoom, Maa Movies, Udaya Movies and Udaya Music.
