Life OK: In-house Crime

After throwing light on the serious subject of domestic violence through 'Saubhagyawati Bhava', Life OK, is bringing to its viewers another 'social thriller' titled 'Laut Aao Trisha'.

The show, will feature Bhagyashree in a leading role along with Rajeshwari Badola, Jai Kalra and Eijaz Khan. Starting July 21, it will air at 10 pm (Monday to Friday), a slot at which the second prime-time telecast of 'Bawree' was happening.

According to Ajit Thakur, general manager, Life OK, the show is a continuation of Life OK's philosophy of differentiation. "We started with domestic violence, we have done crime and terror, talked about spirituality (through Mahadev). This one is about one big worry that many people go through - what if one day your teenage daughter goes missing?"

Thakur mentions it has drama and tragedy that will get in female viewers. At the same time, the content is a 'thriller' and will be appealing to males as well. "It is a cleverly written story. At one step, you think that you know who is behind all this, the second moment you will come across something else. The story is also about what Trisha's disappearance is doing to the family." The channel has planned 250 episodes for the daily show. 'Laut Aao Trisha' is produced by 24 Frames' Nandita Mehra and Bhairavi Raichura.

For the record, the show was earlier slated to air as 'Missing' on Star Plus. Life OK's continued success made the network decide to air the show on the channel in order to strengthen it further. Last month, the channel managed to topple Viacom18's flagship Hindi GEC Colors and is still going strong. Thakur takes pride in the fact that the channel has been able to do so without "saas-bahu" drama.

The channel recently launched a monthly Bollywood award property - Life OK Now Awards and has plans to launch three more shows in coming few months.
