DD National to bring Australia's Bananas in Pyjamas, Giggle and Hoot to India

The channel will air these shows every Sunday at 10.30 AM.

DD National, the public broadcaster, is set to entertain kids with its new offerings which have been imported from Australia, in association with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC).

Starting April 26, the channel will air Australia's animated series 'Bananas in Pyjamas' in India. The show, dubbed in Hindi for the local audience, will be aired during the kids' block, every Sunday at 10.30 AM.

To mark their arrival in India, the Bananas had come all the way from Australia to say 'hello' in person. The Banana in Pyjamas live shows, held in Mumbai and Delhi, were a huge hit.

B1 and B2, as they are known, have been one of the most successful children's television programmes ever to have come out of Australia. They have been sold to more than 80 countries around the world.

The series feature stories and music that are fun and playful and set in Cuddlestown, where the Bananas live with their friends - the teddies Lulu, Morgan and Amy and the mischievous Rat in the Hat.

Another new show 'Giggle and Hoot', featuring characters by the same name, will make its way on DD. Jimmy Giggle and his pal Hoot live in a world where curiosity and imagination rule and where the ordinary is extraordinary.

Both the shows are produced by ABC, "pre-eminent" producers of quality pre-school television and online children's content and are brought to DD National by ABC's International Broadcasting Service, Australia Plus.
