The category's advertising on radio surged by almost 37 times during Q3, 2014, compared to Q3, 2013.
TAM has released an overview of the advertising ad volume on different platforms by the Mosquito Repellents category, between July and September 2014.
The report focusses on advertising carried out by the sector on television, print and radio.
The entire analysis is based on ad volumes expressed in secondages/column centimeters. The figures should be taken only as indicative and not absolute.
As per the report, the category's advertising on radio surged by almost 37 times during Q3, 2014, compared to Q3, 2013. Of the overall advertising volume on radio, 55 per cent was on radio stations in Uttar Pradesh, followed by stations in West Bengal (22 per cent).
Highest volume of advertising by the Mosquito Repellents category was witnessed on TV, which garnered 92 per cent share of ad insertions. 68 per cent share of this was on regional channels.
Meanwhile, print ad volumes increased by 12 per cent and TV ad volumes declined by 27 per cent during Q3, 2014, compared to the same quarter last year. In print, newspapers grabbed 98 per cent share of ad volumes.
