CyberMedia partners with e-recruiter Dice

The partnership is to build online technology recruiting business in India

CyberMedia has entered into an agreement with Dice, a leading provider of online recruiting services for technology and engineering professionals in the United States. As per the agreement, a joint venture company, CyberMedia Dice Careers Limited, has been formed which focuses on the rapidly growing technology recruiting sector in India.

Dice currently has 55,000 technology jobs listed on its website, based out of United States. CyberMedia's existing online venture, the CIOL network, currently gets 750,000 unique visitors every month making it India's largest technology portal.

The jobs specific arm of the network, CIOL Jobs, receives 120,000 unique visitors per month. The new venture, to be headquartered in Bangalore, will distinguish itself by drawing on the unique expertise of CyberMedia in the Indian technology media community. Dice will provide online recruiting services for technology and engineering professionals.

Pradeep Gupta, chairman and managing director, CyberMedia, says, "Dice has maintained a leadership position for 14 years in online technology recruiting, and both customers and technology professionals recognize Dice.com as the No. 1 technology-focused job board in the United States."

"We believe that Dice will bring knowledge and expertise in online recruiting for technology professionals, which is not available in the India market today, enabling us to create together a new service, different from other online recruiting services in our understanding of the unique needs of technology professionals and the companies that depend on them," Gupta added.

Talking about the alliance, Michael P. Durney, senior vice-president and chief financial officer Dice Incorporation, says, "We are delighted to partner with CyberMedia, which has had an outstanding record for 22 years in meeting the information needs of technology professionals in the Indian market."

Our mission with CyberMedia is to serve India-based companies, as their technology recruiting needs to increase with the growth and evolution of the Indian economy," Durney added.

The assets and operations of CyberMedia's existing job board, CIOL Jobs.com, will be merged into the new entity.
