The airport is the first greenfield airport in the country. This is the agency’s second airport advertisement rights contract. Laqshya is also part of the ongoing pitch for the next greenfield airport in Bangalore.

Alok Jalan, managing director, Laqshya Media, says, “The project will be a showcase in terms of quality deliverables and will signify that India has arrived.”

The airport will be an example in terms of aesthetics and functionality, added Jalan.

Reliable sources have confirmed to agencyfaqs! that there were about nine players in the pitch process that commenced in January this year. The final three outdoor media agencies in the reckoning were JCDecaux, Clear Channel Outdoor and Laqshya Media

On the selection of Laqshya, T Srinagesh, chief operating officer, GHIAL, comments, “Along with retail, food and beverage, advertising plays a significant role in the overall look and feel of an airport. We hope to attach a ‘wow’ factor to the airport with Laqshya.”

The master plan includes terminal advertising and outdoor advertising facility with themes, concept designs and location planning. As per the agreement, Laqshya will operate, manage and maintain the advertisements by offering the locations to prospective clients/ third parties for advertisement. All the display units installed will be consistent with the architecture and design of the airport.
