As part of the contract, DMRC will be paid a license fee of Rs 45 crore over the next eight years
With Delhi's infrastructure being strengthened for the upcoming Commonwealth Games, the OOH scenario in the Capital continues to be exciting. In a tender bid, Jaipur-based NS Publicity has won the advertising rights for Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) civil structure for eight years, on the route from RK Ashram to Dwarka.
As part of the tender, DMRC will receive a license fee of Rs 45 crore over the next eight years; while NS Publicity will earn ad revenues from properties such as metro pillars, flyover panels and unipoles on a monthly basis.
Confirming the development, KD Maheshwari, chief executive officer, NS Publicity, says, "This win marks our entry in Delhi. We are aiming to consolidate further with selective tenders on a long-term basis and aim to be a national player. Also, with the Commonwealth Games round the corner, the OOH industry in Delhi will certainly see a boom. It is probably the right place and time to recover the losses incurred during the slowdown."
He adds, "DMRC is creating a world-class network in the city. Our endeavour is to create the best media that suits the needs of our esteemed advertisers."
This procurement adds on to the inventory base of skywalks, gantries, innovative display towers, designer unipoles and benches, which the Rs 100-crore company owns in Rajasthan.
