Elon Musk has posted on X that two new tiers of paid subscription will roll out soon.
X, formerly known as Twitter has announced plans to launch new subscriptions. One is lower cost with all features, but no reduction in ads, and the other is more expensive, but has no ads. There is no information about the pricing and the releasing date.
Moreover, it isn’t clear if the new tier subscription would replace the old plan or they would add up as new options.
The platform currently offers X Premium plan, previously known as Twitter Blue, which costs $8 per month.
A few days back, Bloomberg reported that X is testing three new subscription tiers, namely basic, standard, and plus. Basic users would have ads on their For You page, standard users would have half the amount of ads, and plus users would be free of ads.
