Cast of Tere Mere Sapne gets on ground to promote show

STAR Plus takes the cast of Tere Mere Sapne to meet migrants in order to understand their problems

Recently, people from Lucknow got an opportunity to provide tricks of every day trade to Sarju, the protagonist of Tere Mere Sapne, a fiction show on STAR Plus .

The new fiction series runs from Monday to Friday at 8.30 pm and deals with the issue of migration. Set against the backdrop of Gonda – a remote village in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Tere Mere Sapne portrays the journey of Sarju (played by Saurabh Pandey of Jiya Jale fame), who has to migrate to Mumbai to make a living away from his family and the life familiar to him, while his wife Radha (Ekta Tiwari) tends to their home. Henko Stain Champion is the title sponsor of the serial.

To market the launch and promote the show, STAR Plus created and distributed postcards through couriers. Newspaper inserts and front page advertorials were also placed in leading newspapers, including Times of India.

To promote the show amongst masses, Pandey as Sarju visited Lucknow and Delhi, where he learnt cooking from a hotel chef, drove an auto rickshaw and received tips from a vegetable vendor as he prepared himself for Mumbai.

In Delhi, Pandey visited the house of Surender Shaini of Paharganj, who migrated from Bihar's Motihari 25 years ago and is currently the owner of four autos. Pandey and Tiwari also visited migrant inhabited areas where the residents got opportunities of being photographed with the couple.

Produced by Sphere Origins (producers of Balika Vadhu), Tere Mere Sapne competes with Bairi Piya on Colors and Aapki Antara on Zee TV.

Meanwhile, Sajan Ghar Jaana Hai, the other STAR Plus property that was occupying the 8.30 pm band, will move to the 8 pm slot.

Recently, Colors garnered 340 GRPs (TAM data, HSM, C&S, 4+) in Week 44, with STAR Plus in the second spot with 243 GRPs. Zee TV moved to the third place with 234 GRPs.
