Kushal Sanghvi to set up full service agency of Reliance ADAG

The 360 degree digital marketing and advertising agency, World Wide Open (WWO) will be based in Mumbai.

Kushal Sanghvi, who quit Span Digital as chief executive officer in December 2013, has joined Reliance Entertainment and Digital, a part of Reliance ADAG, as business head. As per sources, Sanghvi is working on setting up the digital and new media advertising agency for Reliance ADAG. Sanghvi joined Reliance in January.

The agency will offer services in data, direct, media, search, social, wireless, mobile, content, syndication and activation with people across talent pools, and have offices across key Indian metros. The company will soon announce the launch of the agency in a big way and is also believed to have signed up a couple of brands as clients.

World Wide Open aims to become one of the top 3 digital brand partners for establishing brands and businesses on digital in the next 4-5 years. Along with several senior level appointments and transitioning the existing Zapak Solution team, the group has set up a core team of 50 members for the new vertical in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore to support existing Zapak Solution clients and make inroads into new clients. The group is also exploring opportunities in international markets, beginning with South East Asia and the Middle East, to expand the business internationally.

Sanghvi joined Span Digital in August, 2012. Span Digital is the specialised digital arm of Delhi-based Span Communications, where Sanghvi's role was to oversee the launch of Span Communications into the digital space in a big way.

Earlier, he was managing director of Spiider Digital Hub (formerly Concept Digital), which he had joined in May, 2011. Before that, Sanghvi had worked with the mobile technology and marketing firm StratosHear Technologies as executive director, business development, media and alliances for a short span of about a year.

Sanghvi has more than 18 years of experience in the media space and has essayed roles in print, digital, television and OOH. He was also involved in growing the wireless and telephony revenue with the pioneer show, Indian Idol.

Before StratosHear Technologies, Sanghvi had worked with Media Contacts, the digital arm of Havas Media, in India. At Media Contacts, he was responsible for business development and overall growth of the digital agency in the country.

Sanghvi was one of the founder members of Rediff.com. He has also worked with companies such as The Times of India Group, Fremantle Worldwide and Reliance ADAG.

Sanghvi holds a post graduate degree in business administration from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies.
