Prega News will soon be visible on SpiceJet's 'Flying Billboard'

An airline 'wrapped' with Prega News branding will take to the skies soon.

Pregnancy and flying - the two are not the most compatible partners. However, Mankind Pharma, a pharmaceutical company that markets Prega News, a pregnancy test kit, and airline brand SpiceJet, have announced an association.

It involves the 'wrapping' of a SpiceJet aircraft -Boeing 737-800 Series- with Prega News-related imagery.

This is the third time SpiceJet has associated with a brand for a 'Flying Billboard' branding solution; the other two brands are Tata Hexa and Telangana Tourism.

SpiceJet's 737-800 will fly across India as well as overseas. The 'branded' airline will take to the skies by the end of this month. It will fly for a stipulated period (the exact duration/number of trips could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report).

Debojo Maharshi, chief marketing officer, SpiceJet, "... SpiceJet is using its aircrafts for wrapping. The wrap will cover both sides of the aircraft. This association will help Prega News reach its target audience... (and will give the brand) better brand visibility."

Under this initiative, to-be mothers will be offered special facilities for speedy check-in (through Spicemax counters), early boarding announcements and upgrades to Spicemax economy seats (more leg room, comfortable seats). Free tickets and gift hampers from Mankind pharma are also part of the campaign.

Rajeev Juneja, CEO, Mankind Pharma, says, "...In our first campaign, we highlighted the issues concerning pregnant women (in the context of) their workplace challenges. The current campaign is about taking care of pregnant women during their travels. We are sure our campaigns will connect with our target audience and touch an emotional chord..."
